Ajman Higher Committee for Energy Renews Cooperation with Ajman Transport Authority to Strengthen Oversight of Petroleum Product Trading and Transport

The Ajman Higher Committee for Energy has renewed its cooperation agreement with the Ajman Transport Authority, reflecting both parties’ commitment to strengthening institutional integration and enhancing the oversight and compliance framework governing the trading and transport of petroleum products across the emirate.

The agreement aims to unify and integrate regulatory and inspection efforts, strengthen coordination among relevant entities, enhance public safety, curb non-compliant practices, and ensure adherence to the legislation and requirements regulating the trading and transport of petroleum products.

It provides for continued cooperation in conducting regular and field inspection campaigns, detecting violations and taking the necessary legal action against offenders. It also seeks to strengthen mechanisms for information exchange and responding to relevant reports and observations.

The agreement underscored the importance of sustained joint action between the two parties in supporting more effective oversight, raising safety standards, and safeguarding the security and safety of the community, facilities and vehicles involved in the transport and trading of petroleum products.
