Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, met with Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Tourism, Culture & Media – Ajman, during his visit to the Arab Media Summit 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Chairperson of the Organising Committee of the Arab Media Summit.
Following the meeting, and in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi attended a dialogue session entitled “Arab Media in a Changing World”, presented by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Authority, as part of the Summit’s programme.
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi also attended a session entitled “Media in an Era of Major Transformations”, presented by His Excellency Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the UAE.
The two sessions addressed key developments shaping the media landscape and examined the role of media in keeping pace with the rapid transformations taking place around the world, amid advances in technology, digital platforms and artificial intelligence. They also explored the implications of these developments for the future of the media industry and approaches to engaging with audiences.
During his visit to the Summit, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, accompanied by His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashimi, Director General of the Department of Tourism, Culture & Media – Ajman, reviewed key issues and trends shaping the future of the sector, as well as the experiences and initiatives showcased at the Summit in the fields of media, technology and content creation.
The visit forms part of the Department of Tourism, Culture & Media – Ajman’s commitment to keeping pace with developments in the media and communications sector, learning about the latest practices and experiences that contribute to advancing the media ecosystem, and benefiting from specialised expertise in content creation and audience engagement.
Arab Media Summit 2026 brings together more than 200 media and thought leaders from outside the UAE, alongside editors-in-chief, leaders of media institutions, content creators, media technology experts and academics. Experts and specialists from 23 countries are participating in the Summit.
The Summit’s agenda also features more than 175 sessions across eight specialised forums, addressing the future of media, government communication, digital media, content creation, social influence, audiovisual media and other related fields.
The visit enabled the Department’s delegation to explore a range of media and technological experiences and initiatives, and gain insights into new tools and trends in content creation and communication. This supports the Department of Tourism, Culture & Media – Ajman’s efforts to develop a media presence that reflects Ajman’s tourism and cultural assets and enhances its reach among local and international audiences.
These efforts align with the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030, which seek to strengthen the emirate’s position and competitiveness while developing channels of communication with the public and media at both local and international levels.
